Ways and Ways

‘Ways and Ways’ is a set of guidelines for respectful, effective communication and consultation with Aboriginal Elders and Indigenous community peoples in Australia. It is being developed in consultation with Indigenous Elders. The guidelines will be used to consult with the custodians of the land and waters, so enhancing our environmental work.

This will not be a formula to use in communicating across cultures but instead will help to deepen listening and understanding of Aboriginal perspectives.

These guidelines will facilitate the successful establishment of sustainable environmental ventures, that are ongoing, effective and woven into the fabric of the community, culturally, spiritually and with the support of the Elders. There will be a document, possibly in different forms, such as print, audio and/or visual.
